  1. Create a Google Account (If You Don't Have One):

    • If you already have a Gmail address, you already have a Google account. You can use that.

    • If not, go to Create a Google Account and follow the instructions.

  2. Go to YouTube:

    • Open your web browser and go to YouTube.

    • Sign in with your Google Account.

  3. Upload Your Video:

    • In the top-right corner of the YouTube page, click the Create icon (it looks like a video camera with a plus sign).

    • Select Upload video.

  4. Select Your Video File:

    • You'll be taken to a new page where you can upload your video.

    • You can either drag and drop your video file into the designated area or click Select files to browse your computer.

  5. Video Details (Very Important for OnCentreline Submissions!):

    • Title: Use a clear and consistent title format. Include your name, the test name, and your horse's name. Example: [Your Name] - [Test Name] - [Horse's Name]

      • Example: Jane Doe - Prelim 1.2 - Awesome Blossom

    • Description: This is crucial! Include the following information:

      • Your name

      • Your horse's name

      • The test name (e.g., Prelim 1.2)

      • The date of the test

    • Thumbnail: You can choose an automatically generated thumbnail or upload a custom one. A clear thumbnail of you and your horse is ideal.

    • Playlist: You don't need to add it to a playlist unless you want to.

  6. Visibility (Crucial for OnCentreline):

    • You have three options:

      • Public: Anyone can see your video.

      • Unlisted: Anyone with the link can see your video. This is usually the best option for OnCentreline submissions.

      • Private: Only you can see your video (do NOT select this option as we will not be able to view it!)

    • Select 'Unlisted'. This ensures that only people with the link (i.e., the judges) can view your test.

  7. Audience:

    • Select "No, it's not made for kids."

  8. Video Elements (Optional):

    • You can add end screens or cards, but these aren't necessary for OnCentreline submissions.

  9. Checks:

    • YouTube will check your video for any copyright issues.

  10. Save and Publish:

    • Click Save to finish uploading.

    • YouTube will give you a video link. Copy this link! This is the link you will submit to OnCentreline Dressage.

  11. Submitting Your Link:

    • When you enter via www.nominate.com.au there will be an option for you to paste the link to your YouTube video.

See our Rules + T&Cs page on our website and our blog post on How To Video Your Test . By following these steps carefully, you'll ensure your OnCentreline Dressage test video is presented professionally and meets all the necessary requirements. Good luck!
