Every rider, from the seasoned competitor to the one who just started cantering last week, shares a common beginning: a love for horses and a healthy dose of determination. We often admire the top-level athletes seen on a global stage, but the true spirit of equestrianism can also be found much closer to home. It lives in the local riding schools, in the hearts of everyday riders, and in those moments of "almost got it!" that we all know and love. The grassroots level isn't just a starting point; it's the very soul of our sport, and nurturing it is a big deal for the wellbeing of both horses and their humans.

The journey of a rider isn't defined by a shiny ribbon (though those are nice!). It's about personal wins, a commitment to learning, and the unique bond you build with your horse. Whether you’re a new rider taking your first lessons or someone returning to the saddle after a break, the fundamentals of correct training are what matter most. These are the skills that lead to confidence, a better partnership, and, most importantly, a happier, healthier horse. By supporting riders at this foundational level, we’re not just encouraging participation, we are helping to create a strong, knowledgeable community for everyone who loves this sport.

The principles of basic flatwork are the universal language of riding. While they're the basis of dressage, they're also the essential foundation for every other equestrian discipline. A commitment to education is so crucial for the horse’s wellbeing and access to quality feedback is so important in enabling this.

While you're in the saddle, it can be a real challenge to objectively judge your own performance This is where professional analysis comes in. By submitting a video of your ride, you can get constructive, professional feedback that can accelerate your learning and helps guide you in training your horse in a way that is effective and ethical. Providing an accessible platform for riders to receive expert analysis empowers every rider to reach their full potential - no matter their starting point.

This is where OnCentreLine Dressage comes in. We believe that quality education and professional feedback should be accessible to everyone, no matter where they are in their riding journey. We are proud to partner with local riding schools and clubs, offering discounts on entries to make it easier for lesson clients to gain valuable competition experience and feedback. To celebrate their hard work and dedication, we also offer the Highest Placed Riding School Competitor Award for clients who compete on lesson horses. Our mission is to support the grassroots community, empowering every rider with the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.
